House Refurbishment and Extension, Howth, Co. Dublin

This is a detached two storey house set on an elevated site overlooking Dublin Bay. It dates from the 1860’s and is a Protected Structure. The building had been added to several times and was outdated.The design solution was to remove a series of non-original extensions and construct a new extension creating an atrium space between the different phases of development. The original features were refurbished including the turn of the century veranda. New contemporary styled finishes and fittings complemented the original detail and proportions of the house.
